Bingo'ing People

Post  Facepalm on Mon Jan 21, 2008 3:50 pm

I am writing this mini guide to answer questions a lot of people have about bingo'ing. Bingo'ing effectively shuts down an opposing player for 36 hours, making them unable to help their village patrol, resource collect, fight in the war, bingo, spy or attack villages. Very devastating if done right.

To start bingo'ing someone, you first need a spy infiltrating or inside their village. This is relatively easy, unless their village has crazy defenses or something like that. Once a spy's in you need to hunt your target. This is done through the Bingo menu, where you select the person from the village you want to bingo.

Now you move on to the tracking phase. This is where you attempt to find them in their village. The closer you are in level, the easier it is to do. If you are much higher in level, you will find it nearly impossible to track the smaller, more obscure ninja. There is a jutsu you can learn that will bypass this, but you need Hyuk to learn it (See my posts on the Trade). If you fail this, you are bingo'ed!

The third stage is the combat stage, where you duke it out. You get to use jutsus, where they call the aid of their village. This is purely luck based, and if you are doing it this way, it helps to use jutsus that will aid in all three stats. If you whittle their hp down to 0 you win. If they defeat you, you get bingo'ed. Certain aspects of the gaining the Trade will help you with this, like being able to predict what the next stat roll is going to be. If you want to circumvent this whole process, use a Note Page and auto kill your opponent. It is important to note, that if you do not auto kill on the first round, and their village comes to that person's aid, you cannot use a Note Page! Decide before hand if you can take them or not.

If you succeed, you are given some AP, EXP, and if they had not been under the effects of a previous bingo, style points. These style points will eventually add up to qualify you for the Trade and better bingo'ing abilities. Good luck and knock 'em dead.

How do you not auto kill with a note page in the first round? Never had the chance to use one myself so it may be a stupid question but w/e Razz

Okay, say you are pretty close in levels, so you decide not to waste a note, as you think you can take him/her. Well, after a couple rounds, their village may come to their aid, and then you can't use a note anymore, because of all the people watching you. So decide if you are going to use one first.

I don't know if jutsu's add style points, but if they do, I'd say you'de need to learn jutsus from the Trade Bloodline. I will check this out when more informaiton becomes available. As far as I know, 35 is the highest you get for using a Note page on someone that has not been bingo'ed recently.

Rumor is that if you kill someone while using Epic Dog Urination Technique, you get more style points. That may just be a rumor because...well, it'd be funny to kill someone with a urinating dog.

Couldn't confirm the Epic Dog technique, as when I tried to use it I failed to kill the target, and had to get them next round. Will keep trying on that.

On another note, I did find that if you bingo people that are of a higher level than you, you get more style points. I got 7 points instead of 5 when bingoing someone 1 level higher than me.

Huh. It appears using the Epid Dog technique might actually work in getting you more points. Bingoed a Village Leader 3 levels higher than me, and I got a massive amount of 51 bingo points when finishing him off with the technique. I'll have to attack him later and see if I get the same amount of style points later.

Yea, I'm going to confirm this as well, as I got about 50 points for ending with EDUT and 25 for doing it to someone who's already been bingoe'd. Pretty nice way to get the Trade relatively quickly, as long as you can plan ahead.

Risky Badge makes EDUT use really easy for finishing bingo's. The only problem I have with it is that I occasionally, accidentally one-shot someone if I go all out in round 1.

Just wanted to point out that people who have obtained "True Blood of the Reaper" are actually easier Bingo targets, as they have like -6 levels from that, and therefore can't hit you back as often.
